Introduction:

TGPred provides a series of prediction tools which predict protein structural information and functional relevance based on the DNA or protein sequence of a tumor related gene. It was developed by Wentao Dai in Shanghai Center for Bioinformation Technology (SCBIT) & Shanghai Industrial Technology Institute (SITI)

TGPred is a web server which provides Tumor Gene Prediction tools, including 3D protein structure prediction, ligand binding site prediction, and the functional spatial hotspot variation forecast, as well as the estimation of functional impacts of mutations.


1. Predict functional impacts of certain mutations by using PROVEAN.
2. Search for wild type protein structure from PDB or predict it with I-TASSER.
3. Predict ligand binding sites of wild type protein using COACH, a module of I-TASSER.
4. Predict spatial hotspot variations using HotSpot3D.
5. Predict variant protein structure involving mutations using RASP.
6. Predict variant protein structure involving deletions or insertions using I-TASSER.

3. 预测包含氨基酸点突变的突变蛋白的三维结构
4. 预测包含氨基酸插入或缺失突变的突变蛋白的三维结构
5. 基于蛋白三维空间结构对氨基酸点突变进行功能聚类
6. 基于序列相似性评估氨基酸点突变的功能
