With the increacing development of second-generation sequencing technology, people are no longer satisfied with bulk tissue sequencing . Because this method does not meet the definition of cell classification, that is the tissue contains different types of cells, including blood, immunity, epithelium, and so on. Single-cell sequencing technology enables people to define the global gene expression profile of each cell, which promote a clearer understanding of the heterogeneity in tissue cell populations. This feature leads to the rapid advance in scRNA-seq field. After ten years of development, single-cell sequencing technology has changed from sequencing only one cell to more than 100,000 cells in only one project. Various sequencing methods are invented in recent years, including STRT-seq, CEL-seq, MARS-seq, SMART-seq2, Drop-seq, etc. This process is deal with 10x Genomcis sequencing data, which is the most commonly used in Drop-seq in recent years.
The platform includes the analysis piplines after sequenced data.
